Storytelling...DIGITALLY!!!! :)

My video is above!

One way to use digital storytelling is to teach the process of making a tie-dye shirt. Of course, the teacher would have to pick a style of making the shirt first. You can show students the step by step process of getting the shirt prepared and how to put the rubber bands on so that it would make that certain style.

A second way to use digital storytelling is to make a movie of a nursery rhyme, which is usually used for the lower grades. You can break the nursery rhyme down to where you are watching the nursery rhyme and it comes to life for the students.

A third way to use digital storytelling is to make of movie that will introduce a lesson. For example, if you are introducing shapes, then you can have each shape and tell the name of it and show some real world examples of where you can find that shape.

Glogster and Word Cloud

Hello everyone!! You guys are able to see my glog  if you click on the link "my glog" in this sentence!
It was pretty fun using Glogster. It was very simple since it has some glogs that are already made so that all you have to do is add the pictures. I decided to post pictures of my hobby.
This would be a great tool for ages 10 and above. They are able to handle using a computer for a longer period of time and manage the site more effectively. Students are to be able to upload pictures from a computer or device such as a USB or a camera. I think that Word and Paint are easier to create poster than glogster because you don't have to create an account to use the applications.

Here are some of the creations I made on Word Cloud using my twitter account:

It was easy to use Word Cloud. All I did was type in my twitter ID in the correct space provided and the words came up. I played around with the shapes and themes. The ones above were my favorite.
Word Cloud is appropriate for for ages 15 and above because they may have access to a twitter account or know what website they would like to use. It is super easy to use and you don't have to create an account to use it.

PiZap picture

I made this collage on piZap! I loved using this photo editor. My husband even got into it :).
