My video is above!
One way to use digital storytelling is to teach the process
of making a tie-dye shirt. Of course, the teacher would have to pick a style of
making the shirt first. You can show students the step by step process of
getting the shirt prepared and how to put the rubber bands on so that it would
make that certain style.
A second way to use digital storytelling is to make a movie
of a nursery rhyme, which is usually used for the lower grades. You can break
the nursery rhyme down to where you are watching the nursery rhyme and it comes
to life for the students.
A third way to use digital storytelling is to make of movie
that will introduce a lesson. For example, if you are introducing shapes, then
you can have each shape and tell the name of it and show some real world
examples of where you can find that shape.
This is great! You will be surprised how you may be able to use all your interests in the future. Education, marketing, sociology all go together very well. If you really like all those and don't necessarily want to prepare lesson plans and deal with the kids daily, you may be able to express your voice/talents/creativity in other ways. I will give you the name of Bill Stipp. He's in advertising and promotion and this is his web site

He does allow internships and is a really interesting and approachable person. By looking at his work online you can see why I made the statement that all the fields work together. You just need to find the right place and training and opportunity for you.
Christina,
